We had the first hints of an announcement on HTC Jelly Bean updates yesterday by way of Aussie carrier Telstra, but now the manufacturer is sending out a statement confirming what many already expected with regards to Android 4.1 upgrades. Unsurprisingly, HTC says the One X, One S and One XL (that's the Snapdragon S4-powered One X with LTE, sold on AT&T as the One X) are all due for a bump up to the latest version of Android --
"We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."
So it looks like there'll be more updated to follow, and we'd certainly expect phones like the EVO 4G LTE, Dinc 4G LTE and (maybe) Rezound to be among the list of HTC phones that eventually get Jelly Bean. Fingers crossed, guys. In the meantime, check out our predictions of which devices will be getting Android 4.1 in the months ahead.
